Rules of the Game
In The Clutch is intended to be a fun, friendly place for all things sports, and the Rules of the Game reflect that. We ask that you keep these guidelines in mind as you make your posts. Do not swear excessively. Absolutely no obscene or pornographic pictures allowed in posts, sigs, and avatars as well sexually explicit links, URLs, or usernames. Any such pictures and links will be removed immediately and the user will be warned. Continued violtation will result in suspension or banning. No spamming. Spamming is the posting of replies and topics that have absolutely no point but to advance post count or disrupt the forum. Such spam posts include "+1 post count" and ones that that consist entirely of emoticons and do not contribute to the conversation. No flaming. This is a sports board, and while competition and rivalry is to be expected, harsh and direct insults will not be tolerated. Threads that are started for the sole purpose of flaming will be removed. Flaming in threads may result in deletion of posts and/or removal of such threads. Members involved will be warned and subject to further disciplinary action. No trolling. Trolls are people whose sole purpose on the board is to cause disruption. Trolls will be banned. Members should not engage a troll; instead they should use the "Report" button to advise a staff member. A good method is IRS: Ignore, Report, and Stay away. No micro-modding. Micro-modding is "back-seat moderation" from members. If someone is violating the rules, you can report them to the staff for action. News topics are common on ITC. Please credit and link to the original source. For example, a thread about a recent news development from ESPN should link back to the original article, and any text taken from the article should be enclosed in quote tags. Other topics not covered here are at the discretion of the Administrators and Moderators. Max size for avatars is 125 x 125 pixels. Larger images will be automatically resized. There is no limit on signature sizes, but they should be of reasonable sizes. Disciplinary actions include (in ascending order by severity): Verbal warnings via PM and increase of warn level Posts subject to approval by a moderator Suspension of posting abilities for a period of time Permanant banning Actions are subject to the type and severity of the infraction and do not necessarilly follow this list.
