The Cubs entered June with the best record in baseball for the first time since 1908, when they last won a World Series. They started the new month by finishing a four-game sweep of the defending National League champions and sending them to their seventh straight loss. Though the Cubs fans are probably excited about this...do something that hasn't been done since the last time they won a World Series? Yeah, I'd be excited if I was them...at least for a day anyway.

I figured they would be better this year and maybe be a couple games under .500 . I didn't foresee them being this good. As for the Cubs, I am not surprised. I looked at their roster at the beginning of the year, and their division didn't look to great either. I expected them to be making the playoffs this year.

I don't remember the last time the World Series was decided in May or June. I'd also like to say it's the best record which doesn't automatically mean they are the best team...see: Hawaii's past football season.
