The NBA, NCAA Basketball and NHL challenges are still in the early going. New competitors are welcome to join, and are encouraged to do so before the competitions enter the second half and the inactivity penalties will be in place. |

The 2007 competition season has come to a close. 2008 will feature 16 contests, 3 of which are already in progress. No new ones are coming in this month, but in March, the NCAA Basketball Bracket and MLS Season challenges will begin, with the MLB Weekend starting either late March or early April. |

It took a day longer than most years, but March is here! To start, the conference championship bonuses for the NCAA Basketball Weekend Challenge will be available shortly. 15 this weekend and 15 next week. The first 15 will be due by Monday night. Then the final weekend will be available until Friday night when the final 15 bonuses will be posted. In a few weeks, the NCAA Basketball Bracket Challenge will begin. This year, we will be using our own webspace (courtesy of x10hosting) to host that challenge. You will also be able to post your picks on the board if you choose to do so. In about a week, I will have more information at the NCAA Matchup forum. At the end of the month, the MLB and MLS season based contests will start their respective 2008 editions. More details on those will be available in a few weeks. Finally, this is a reminder that we are at the home stretch for the NBA and NHL Weekend competitions. Don't forget to make your picks each week. |

The MLS Season Challenge is now starting the 31 week journey. Check out the MLS Extra Time forum for details. Soon, the MLB Weekend Challenge will return with the 2008 edition. More information will be available in the next few days. Check the MLB Grand Slam forum for that competition. All are encouraged to participate in both contests. Just 2 weeks remain in the NHL Weekend Challenge, after which the Round By Round Challenge will begin. Finally, the NBA Weekend Challenge has just 3 weeks left. Like the NHL, the Round By Round Challenge will begin when the regular season ends. |

The final NBA weekend of the regular season is here. That means that no more entries are accepted for the NBA Weekend Challenge. However, it also means that coming up is the NBA playoffs and the Round By Round Challenge that is associated with that. The regular season goes through Wednesday and the first round of the playoffs begins a week from Saturday. For more details, the rules are located in the NBA Slam Dunk forum and the contest will begin once the matchups are finalized. |

Sign ups for the NFL Head To Head Challenge are now closed. But all are welcome to join the NFL Season Challenge, regardless of participation in HTH. Games will be available by Thursday. Also, the college football season begins on Thursday night, which means it's the start of the NCAAF Season Challenge! The first week's games are ready for some picking, so act now! |
