When the league released its schedule on Wednesday, the NBA web site linked to a page that listed the “Oklahoma City Thunder schedule” and clicking on any of the Oklahoma City’s 82 games took you to the url — www.nba.com/thunder. By Wednesday afternoon, the word Thunder was nowhere to be found on the Oklahoma City schedule page and all of the links pointed to www.nba.com/oklahomacity. Oklahoma City NBA team spokesman Dan Mahoney’s comment Wednesday was similar to previous weeks. “We’re not going to comment on the name until we’re ready to announce something,” Mahoney said. The Thunder url sends users to an inactive page, which says, “We apologize for the inconvenience, but the page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed or is temporarily unavailable.” Full article.
