Maurice who?

Toronto FC has already landed a replacement for U.S. midfielder Maurice Edu. Carlos Ruiz, who has bounced from Dallas to Los Angeles and now to Toronto, has been brought in to replace Glasgow-bound Edu. Ruiz will join Danny Dichio, Chad Barrett, and Abdus Ibrahim as scoring gang for TFC. Toronto, which is said to be making a steal of a deal, also released Laurent Robert to make way for Ruiz. Los Angeles, meanwhile, makes the deal with the intent on nabbing U.S. national star Eddie Lewis.

Toronto's scoring front had seemed to be in flux with injuries and inconsistencies, not to mention Edu's unavailability due to Olympic play, but a series of deals has allowed TFC to keep a group of star scorers on the roster to keep the Reds in the playoff hunt.
