I never had a problem with New York having two teams. The NFL and MLB have two teams each there. NBA only has one. The Rangers are the more valuable franchise. The Devils are probably more popular in New York than the Islanders. The Islanders haven't been successful since their 4 Cups in a row dynasty in the 80's. The franchise itself isn't well managed, year after year it's a gong show... |

Well, if you're counting the Giants and Jets as New York teams, you might as well thrown in the Nets and Devils in their respective leagues. They are as much a part of NY as the NFL's teams, except for the name.
