WE ARE...PENN STATE!

ESPN announced today the first two College GameDay broadcast locations. They will be in Atlanta for Week 1 (September 5 - Alabama vs. Virginia Tech) and Columbus for Week 2 (September 12 - USC at Ohio State). So that makes us wonder: where will GameDay go this season? What are your predictions for College GameDay's broadcast sites? (Division I-A schedule) My first guess: Week 10, November 7, Beaver Stadium (Ohio State at Penn State) At this point the only other compelling matchup I see for that week is LSU-Alabama, so OSU-PSU is a good bet for that one. They like that matchup. |

Yeah, week 10 sounds about right. Week 3, depending on how week 1 goes, I could see Nebraska at Virginia Tech. Texas Tech at Texas also seems like one they'd do, given how last year's game finished. Week 4 seems to lack a lot of nice matchups...and there a lot of them with that dreaded "TBA" for a time. Miami (FL) at Virginia Tech (provided both teams are doing well and they weren't in Blacksburg the week before), South Florida at Florida State, California at Oregon and Arkansas at Alabama look like strong possibilities at the moment. The only one that jumps at me for week 5 is Southern California at California. Week 6 also seems to be either Florida at Louisiana State or Alabama at Mississippi. I'd imagine Week 7 they'd be at Oklahoma/Texas in Dallas. That's about as far in advance as I'm going for now. Of course, all this is subject to change before they announce where they will be on the given week. |

Week 3 will be Texas Tech at Texas. For Week 4, I'm taking out California at Oregon and Arkansas at Alabama. Instead I'll put North Carolina at Georgia Tech as one of my possibilities for them. |

That's a possibility. I also see Miami at Va. Tech as a possible location, too. |

Didn't see this coming. Week 4 will be Iowa at Penn State. I still feel like Week 5 will be Southern California at California. However, I'm throwing Oklahoma-Miami (FL) in there too. |

OK-Miami looks to be a good bet the way Miami is playing right now. USC-Cal is the other favorite. However, as a rivalry possibility, I think LSU-Georgia has a shot (though it be very, very slim). |

Really does make me wonder what they're planning for Week 10, though. LSU-Alabama, I guess. They wouldn't do two at the same location in one season...would they?

I believe they have before, but I couldn't tell you what seasons that happened. If the rankings hold up fairly closely to how they are now...week 10 would probably be Louisiana State-Alabama as both teams are in the top 10. |

By the way, all PSU fans have been asked to wear white to the game on Saturday. It's the return of the all-stadium White Out!
